Have you heard the good news?
First, the bad news . . .
Every human being has a sin problem, and the penalty for sin is eternal
separation from God in a literal place called hell. Regardless of how
good we think we are or how good we try to be, no amount of good works
can ever overcome our sin problem (Ephesians 2:8–9).
And now, the good news . . .
God, who is rich in mercy, provided for our salvation by sending His
Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place and receive our sins in His own
body on the cross (1 Peter 2:24). When Jesus died as our substitute, He
paid the penalty for the sins of all mankind. On the third day, He rose
back to life victorious.
When you put your faith alone in Christ alone, your sins are forgiven
and you receive the free gift of eternal life.
